Raku pottery is a unique firing technique that involves rapidly heating glazed or raw bisque pots, removing them from the kiln while still red-hot, and placing them in a container with combustible materials like sawdust or newspaper. This process creates unique colors, patterns, and textures due to the thermal shock and post-firing reduction. These pieces are decorative only and not food safe.
